Payroll

How often do we get paid?
Twice monthly or every 15th and 30th, two weeks in arrears. In the event that the 15th or 30th falls on a weekend, payroll is distributed on the previous Friday.

When are time cards due?
Time cards are due Monday at noon. They can either be faxed to 703.288.6969 or scanned and emailed to katie.tran@alakaillc.com.

Do time cards have to have additional confirmation?
Yes.  All time cards need to be authorized and signed by a designated supervisor.

Health Benefits FAQs

When is our Open Enrollment period?
Open enrollment is in November. 

When am I eligible for health benefits?
Health benefits are active the first day of the month following the day you start with Alakai.

How can I find out if my doctor is in my plan?
Go to www.carefirst.com and look under “Finding a Physician”

What do I do in the event that I get a bill for a deductible or care not covered by the provider?
You need to submit the bill and EOB to Prime Pay for reimbursement. Please contact EBG or your Alakai representative for information on how to smoothly process the claim. 

How can I monitor how much is left on my deductible?
Sign up for an account at www.primepay.com. Contact EBG or your Alakai representative for details.

Holidays

Alakai provides 10 holidays for full time long-term employees.  For a complete list of recognized holidays see attached.

Holiday FAQs

Can I exchange holidays for a different day off?
No. You can use your PTO for any additional days that you require.

Paid Time Off

Alakai provides 13 days PTO for full time long-term employees. 

PTO FAQs

Do I need to make a request for any PTO?
Yes. Please complete a PTO request form and submit it to your Alakai representative or Katie Tran.

Do PTO requests need customer approval as well?
Yes. Please make sure that the supervisor for the customer you support has given you approval before submitting the request.

How far in advance to I need to submit the request?
We ask that submit your request at least 1-2 weeks in advance. The longer the leave request, the further in advance we would like the notice.
