Dendy Young – CEO

Dendy Young is the Managing Partner of McLean Capital, LLC, a private equity firm, based in McLean, VA, which focuses on investments in government information technology as well as other angel investments.

Mr. Young is an award-winning executive with more than 30 years experience in the IT industry. From January 1996 to February 2006, Mr. Young was Chief Executive Officer of GTSI Corp. (NASDAQ: GTSI), an enterprise services and solutions provider. In addition to these duties, he served as Chairman of the Board of GTSI from 1998 until May 2007. Prior to his tenure with GTSI, Mr. Young served as Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Microsystems, Inc., the second of two privately held, Federally-focus IT companies he founded, and Falcon Systems, Inc. Falcon Systems was sold to Oracle Corp in 1981 and Falcon Microsystems was sold to GTSI in 1994.

Mr. Young serves on the Executive Committee of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), where he holds the position of Chairman of the NVTC TechPAC (Political Action Committee), and on the Board of Directors of AFCEA International, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. He is Chairman of the Board of Alakai, LLC, a contractor specializing in cyber-security, NavantiGroup, LLC, which specializes in risk assessment and the use of social media in countering violent extremism, Qlarion, Inc., which provides expertise in business intelligence, and HadPro Hood and Duct Professionals, LLC, a commercial services company. In addition, Mr. Young is Lead Outside Director of Obsidian Research, a Canadian company that provides long distance, high-bandwidth data transmission products, and is on the board of Omnilink Systems, Inc. a location-based-services company.

Mr. Young is one of two outside directors appointed by Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell to serve on the Virginia Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC). This organization provides advice and counsel to the Virginia Secretary of Technology and his staff.

He holds a Lifetime Achievement Award from VARBusiness magazine and a Federal CIO Council's Azimuth award, which is bestowed upon one industry leader each year. He is a three-time "Fed 100," winner, chosen by his peers for outstanding contributions to government and industry, and an Eagle Industry Award winner. In addition, he received the President's Award for his efforts in expanding communications between government and industry from the Federation of Government Information Processing Council (FGIPC).

Mr. Young holds a S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Shannon Jameson– Vice President of Business Development

Shannon Jameson has 15 years experience in Business Development in the Information Technology and Services industry for government and the private sector after beginning her career as a communications specialist for a CDC NIH contractor in the Federal health consulting space. As Vice President of Business Development, Ms. Jameson will focus on building teaming partnerships, adding new Federal customers and increasing business opportunities to increase Alakai’s growth.

Ms. Jameson’s experience includes directing the Membership Department at the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) where she began forging strong alliances with the business leaders of the Technology Community. Ms. Jameson maintains her good the relationship with NVTC as well as participating as a long-term member of AFCEA.

Ms. Jameson is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
